APV Invensys skid mounted microfiltration plant previously used for removal of bacteria and spores from whey in order to produce a high quality Whey Protein Concentrate. The plant also has the ability to de-fat whey in order to produce whey protein concentrate with high protein content.
The plant is based around three loops consisting of twelve ceramic filter assemblies and was manufactured in 2004. The overall capacity of the plant is 45,000 litres per hour when operating at 45% whey protein concentration.
